Eyes

from Home by Rosewoods

lyrics

May your eyes always be blue
So if I ever try to lie
The look that they would give
Would send the words back to my mind
But if I ever succeed, and your promise I do break
I'll make it right, whatever it takes

May your voice always be soft
So if I ever try to yell
The guilt would fill my lungs
And my tongue would start to swell
But if my mouth ever allows it
and your promise I do break, I'll make it right
Whatever it takes.

And I've never felt so weak
In my life, and I'm not afraid.

May forever mean the same.
Today and years away.
So we can trade our hearts
and never feel afraid.
For if we ever succeed, and our promises we break
We'll make it right, whatever it takes.
