lyrics

I took your hands and tied them down
And said look here June, there's no way out.
I caught your eyes, and poured mine out.
And said if you fall, I'll be the next one down.

Well it's a long way down.
But I'll keep you sound and safe.
And it's a ways down south.
Back to where you came.

And We'll rest our bones
And sleep alone
But not for long.

But we've lived with our hearts.
And we've lived without.
I say no more, you're all mine now

and the river flowed and the gold came out
And you said that's us, we're finally found.

Well it's a long way down.
But I'll keep you sound and safe.
And it's a ways down south.
Back to where you came.

And we'll rest our bones
And sleep alone.
But not for long.

Repeat chorus

Yes we'll rest our bones
And sleep alone
But not for long...June.
